Configure settings for the grantee portal.
Settings and configurations for the grantee portal can be managed in Admin Tools & Settings.
- Click the gear icon in the quick navigation menu.
- Click Grantee Portal.
Multiple settings are available at the top of the page under the Manage Settings in Grantee Portal heading. Clicking an option opens a page in a new tab where configurations can be made.
- Codes - Configure which code types are available for grantee portal users to select within editable code fields on intake forms.
- Click Add New Grantee Portal Code Type to add a new code type to the available list.
- A different name can display in the grantee portal for the code type.

- After adding a new code type to the list, click the pencil icon next to it to add the codes from which grantee portal users can select.
- Click Add New Grantee Portal Code Type to add a new code type to the available list.
- Files - For each intake form type, manage the template files available to use in file upload and file group fields, and the image files available to add to form pages.
- Bank Account Settings - If included with your GivingData subscription, manage the bank account data to collect in bank account fields on the Organization Details page and on bank account fields on intake forms. Collect Bank Account Information Through the Grantee Portal contains details.
- Default Contact Settings - Manage the default data to collect in contact role fields on intake forms. This can be adjusted as needed on each contact role field added to a form.
- Address Settings - Manage the address data to collect in address fields on intake forms. This cannot be adjusted for specific fields.
Additional grantee portal settings are available in the next section on the page. Click the pencil icon next to a setting to edit it.
- Grantee Portal Name - This name is visible when grantee portal users log into the portal. It is also visible at the top of the page once they are logged in.
- Default Grantee Portal Registration Email - Edit default email to send when inviting a new grantee portal user to the portal from their contact record. This is not associated with a specific intake form. Edits can be made to the email before sending.
- Hide Request Title for Active Applications - If Yes is selected, the request ID for any active applications in the grantee portal will display instead of the request title.
- Hide Request Title for Declined Applications - If Yes is selected, the request ID for any declined applications in the grantee portal will display instead of the request title.
- Hide Comment Details In Email Notifications - This setting is applicable for intake forms with intake form comments enabled, and refers to email notifications sent to assigned grantee portal users and staff when comments are made on the form. If Yes is selected, the email notification does not contain the comment in the body of the email.
- Set Default Grantee Portal User Permissions For Applications, Reports, and Submissions - Select the default permission to apply to new grantee portal users after enabling their portal account. This is applicable for applications, reports, submissions
- Set Default Grantee Portal User Permissions for Active Grants and Organization Intake Forms - Select the default permission to apply to new grantee portal users after enabling their portal account. This is applicable for active grant intake forms, organization intake forms
