GivingData stores a backup of each site's data for the past 35 days. Long-term data retention can also be added to your subscription.
By default, GivingData stores a backup of your site’s data for the past 35 days. This means that if a data loss event occurred, your site’s data could be restored to a specific point in time within the past 35 days. Backups expire and are not retained after the 35-day timeframe.
Restoring data to a backup is reserved for situations such as a catastrophic data loss event. If a site is restored to a certain point in time, any changes made in the site after that point in time would not be recovered.
Long-term data retention is available as an add-on to all subscriptions.
If long-term data retention is added to your subscription, snapshots of your site’s data are also taken on a monthly or weekly basis and stored for one year. This means that if a data loss event occurred, your site’s data could be restored to any of the captured points in time within the past year.
