Changing a List View Column Header

All GivingData users can change the title of a column in a list view. This article focuses on Super Search results.

List Views

When querying the database in Super Search, a list view will be generated with the search results.  The column headers default to the field names in the database, but a user can change these column headers to different names.  This does not change the field name in the database.

Below is a sample result set from an organization Super Search.

Changing a Column Header

In this example, the user would like to change the first column from “Name” to “Organization Name.”  First, navigate to the “Edit Columns” button.

Select “Edit Field Display” from the Edit Columns modal.

The Field Display modal will appear.  The user may change the name of the field and add a bold format.  The user may also choose to add a field label, which will show up on every line of the results set.
