How to Clear Cache & Cookies on Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge
Learn how to clear the cache and cookies from your internet browser.
Before submitting a GivingData support request, we highly recommend clearing your internet browser's cache and cookies as a first step. Oftentimes, clearing the browser cache is enough to load GivingData when the site is not operating as expected.
GivingData's preferred internet browser is Google Chrome, and is recommended to users as a second step when troubleshooting errors, bugs, and site slowness.
Google Chrome
1. Open the Google Chrome internet browser.
2. In the top right corner, select More (three vertical dots).
3. From the dropdown, select More Tools > Clear Browsing Data.
4. Set the time range to All time.
5. Select the checkboxes besides "Cookies and other site data" and "Cached images and files".
Note: Selecting Browing history and Download history is optional.
6. Select Clear data.
Microsoft Edge
1. Open the Microsoft Edge internet browser.
2. In the top right corner, select More (three horizontal dots).
3. From the dropdown, select Settings.
4. Select "Privacy, Search, and Services".
5. Beside "Clear browsing data now", select "Choose What to Clear".
6. Set the time range to All Time.
7. Select the checkboxes beside "Cookies and other site data" and "Cached images and files".
Note: Selecting Browsing history and Download history is optional.
8. Select Clear Now.
