Learn how to select a default dashboard. A default dashboard will open automatically when accessing the Payments & Approvals dashboards.
A user can select any Payments & Approvals dashboard that they have access to as their default dashboard. This includes dashboards with Public, Private, or Shared visibility.
Default dashboards will open automatically when accessing the Payments & Approvals dashboards, and will be the dashboard visible on a user's GivingData homepage on versions 5.0.4 or later.
Default dashboards can be changed at any time. Selecting a new Default Dashboard will replace the user's existing Default Dashboard selection.
Selecting an existing dashboard as a Default Dashboard
- Open the dashboard by selecting its name from the left side panel titled 'Your Dashboards'.
- Click the yellow 'Manage Dashboard' button, then select 'Set as My Default Dashboard'.
Note: The options in the 'Manage Dashboard' dropdown menu may vary depending on your permissions in GivingData.
Selecting a Default Dashboard when creating a new dashboard
- Select the green 'Add New Dashboard' button.
- Add information to the dashboard properties, then select the checkbox for 'Set as My Default Dashboard'.
- Complete the remaining steps in order to save the new dashboard. Once saved, this new dashboard will be the user's Default Dashboard.
