Quick Search is an easy way to find Organizations, Requests, and Contacts. It can be accessed from any page on the GivingData site and is one of the most frequently used features.
Where to find Quick Search
Quick Search can be accessed on any page on the GivingData site. Click the magnifying glass in the Quick Navigation menu at the top of the page.
Quick Search can also be accessed by clicking on the magnifying glass on the home page.
A modal will open, and Quick Search will appear at the top.
A list of the five most recent searches will be displayed.
Using Quick Search
Once a user begins typing in the search field, GivingData will display recommended results based on the keystrokes.
There are more search results that are not shown here.
The user will select the record and be taken to the relevant page.
The following fields are searched based on the user’s keystrokes:
Organizations
- Name
- Legal Name
- AKA
Requests
- Project Title
- Reference Number
- Request ID
- Source ID
Contacts
- Email (i.e. the user’s portal login email)
- First Name
- Last Name
