To be released June 24, 2023, this version contains improvements to contact import and matching, along with other improvements and fixes.

Improvements

Contact Import and Matching

Various changes have been made to improve the process for importing contacts from the Grantee Portal and matching these contacts with existing ones.

When importing contacts from the Grantee Portal, three options now exist on the right side of the modal:

  • Add New Contact
  • Update Existing Contact
  • Do Not Import

A new column has been added to left side of the import modal, displaying contacts that match the first and last name of the contact submitted: "Similar Contacts on Record."

When Update Existing Contact is selected, users can select from all similar contacts on record in the dropdown.

When a user chooses to import a contact as a new contact or to update an existing contact, the contact information submitted in the Grantee Portal displays a tooltip when the user clicks on the selected Organization or Request role name. The tooltip displays the label of the mapped field from the intake form. An asterisk is included if the field is required in the intake form.

Users can check if a contact was marked as no longer in a role and/or if a role end date was entered in the intake entry by viewing the intake entry in GivingData. This information is
can be found on the contacts tab of the View Application modal.

Users can view the Contact Submitted in Grantee Portal information when the Contact Details modal is opened from the Import Data modal. This is possible for both the Import New Contacts and Update Existing Contacts options of the import.

When a contact is set as inactive in the Contact Details modal, a microprocess displays after those changes are saved. This microprocess asks the user if they want to add an end date for the contact’s current roles at the Organization where they were set as inactive. Updating the end date is not required, and leaving it blank does not update the role.

Other Improvements

  • Added asterisks to designate Grant Start and Grant End fields as required fields. These fields appear in the Grant Period modal, editable from the Request Overview page.
  • If a secondary currency is being used on a request, the currency symbols in the Grantee Portal will now reflect that secondary currency. Previously, all currency symbols in the Grantee Portal reflected a site's root currency.
