Payments API
Grantmakers of all sizes rely on GivingData as their Grants Management System but often want to share data with other systems in their tech stack. GivingData’s Open APIs allow you to pull data from GivingData, publish your grants data to your external website, and develop integrations with other systems. Payment endpoints are now available in GivingData’s Open APIs.
With our Payment API there are methods for:
- Retrieving a single payment by Payment Id
- Retrieving a list of payments by Payment Status
- Retrieve a list of all Payment Statuses configured in your GivingData site
- Set a single payment record as “Paid”
- Cancel a single payment
- Void a single payment
- Change the Payment Status of a single payment record
Improvements
- New Time Picker format: Interactions & Batch Edit Requirements - A new format for selecting a time for Interactions and various other areas of the site. The new time picker allows a user to type in an hour, date and AM/PM time period or use their up and down arrows on the keyboard to input.
- Interactions: Overview Page - The Interactions Overview page has an updated user interface to maintain consistency and improve accessibility. These updates do not contain changes in functionality, but are visual improvements to the user interface. Changes to the UI include the display of the Interactions list view columns.
- Exporting data to Excel: Excel limit on long text fields - All exports coming from GivingData to Excel are limited to 32,767 characters per individual cell due to Excel’s cell size limit. Exported fields that are over the size limit will be truncated with an ellipsis.

- A bug allowing Exploring Requests to appear on list views navigated to from the Payments and Approvals Dashboards has been resolved.
- A bug preventing a user to view External Reviews despite having the “View Reviews” permission has been resolved.
