Coming July 19th! This release marks our first dedicated maintenance and bug fix release, which will occur for releases with odd numbered releases (ex: 5.2.9).
This update resolves a wide range of issues across intake forms, workflows, quick search, and more—delivering increased reliability and consistency throughout the GivingData platform.
🐛 Notable Bug Fixes
Each release includes bug fixes to enhance stability and improve your experience. Here are some key fixes:
-
Workflow Tasks: Workflow task dependencies were unable to be edited or added to individual tasks. This has now been resolved and the functionality of editing and adding task dependencies to individual tasks has been restored.
-
Workflow Task Description: For Task descriptions with a lot of text, users were unable to scroll through all of the text while viewing the Task. This has been resolved and a scrollbar has been added to the Description text box to allow easy viewing of the text.
-
Workflow Template Names: HTML text had been inserted into existing Workflow template names. The HTML text has been removed and will no longer be added to Workflow Names.
-
Grantee Portal Intake Forms: Request Specific Assessment questions that had been answered in the portal form were being imported into GivingData in a different order than the questions were answered on the form. This has now been resolved and the questions will remain in the same order as the intake form after importing the form.
-
Grantee Portal Intake Forms Campaign: The default Request properties on the campaign were not defaulting the Request Title to be the title of the campaign when the Request Title field was left blank. This has now been resolved and when the Default Request Properties for Request Title is left blank, the Request Title will be the campaign title and the name of the organization.
-
Grantee Portal Intake Forms: Mapped Custom Fields that are inactive are appearing in the list of fields without denoting that it is inactive in GivingData. This has been resolved by disabling the option to select an inactive custom field from the list. If the custom field is updated to active, it will then be able to be selected from the list.
-
Batch Adding Requirement with Intake Form: When adding a requirement in batch with an intake form enabled, the setting for “Read only” before open date was not working as expected. After the batch action, the setting would be “Do not display intake form,” instead of the selected setting option of “Read only.” This has now been resolved.
-
Grantee Portal Users: Users in the Grantee Portal and Reviewer Portal were being logged out of the portal after an hour. Now, users who are active in the portal will not be logged out until they are inactive for an hour.
-
Quick Search: When searching for contacts, if they had a middle name or initial on their contact record the results would not show that user unless the middle name or initial was included in the search. Now, the quick search results will return results with middle names, middle initials, and salutations if there is a match in the search terms.
-
Quick Search: Quick search was not searching upon Organization Legal Name for a match in the search results. This has been resolved and Organization Legal Name is now included in the search and will display results for matching organization records.
-
Grantee Portal Intake Forms: When printing an intake form as a PDF from the Grantee Portal, text fields from the intake form were not being included in the PDF. This has now been resolved and all question fields are included when printing to a PDF.
-
Coding: Codes that had inactive child codes that were inactive could not select the top level coding that was active. This has been resolved and now top level coding can be selected.
-
Amendments: When attempting to delete a Grant Period amendment, an error was produced if the amendment was created prior to the requirement that amendments have a Start Date, End Date and Term. These amendments can now be deleted and recorded in the Activity log.
-
Payments and Approvals Dashboard: When editing the columns of the list view, the chosen columns did not save upon refreshing the page. This has been resolved and the newly added column will be saved to the list view for the user who edited the columns. To make the list view columns edited for all users, update the list view settings for the Payments and Approvals Dashboard default list view.
