In order for external reviewers to rate and provide comments on grantee applications, attach an external review form to the application.
Adding an External Review Form
When an application is created in GivingData — whether unsolicited or invited — users with the External Reviewer Portal have the option to add External Review forms. The External Reviewer Portal is available as an add-on to any GivingData subscription.
The steps in this article outline how to add an external review form to one application at a time. External review forms can also be added to multiple applications in batch. Manage External Reviews contains instructions.
In order for a user to add an External Review form to a request record, the following criteria must be met:
- An applicant must have successfully submitted their application.
- The GivingData user must update the status of the application to “In External Review”.
While updating the Application status to "In External Review," the user will be prompted to add a Review Form and set up the review form details such as selecting the review form and assigning an open data and a due date.
External Reviewers can be assigned to review forms by following the hyperlink to view external review details found under the application status or by clicking on the External Review Forms section.
Additional review forms or review stages can be added to the Application from the External Review Forms section. To add a new form, click on Add New External Review Form.
A modal will open where users will select the application that will be assigned a review form, then the user will select a review form. A review form can only be added to an application once, therefore forms that are already in use will be grayed out from the selection list.
Once saved, users can assign Reviewer Portal Users to complete the external review form.
