Create a renewal grant record by copying key fields from one request record into a new request record.
Navigate to the request record to be renewed, using either the quick search in the top header bar or the “Search” button on the home page.
On the request’s Overview tab, press the pencil next to “Renewable”.
In the modal that pops up, change the Renewable status from No to Yes using the drop down.
The user can “Create a Renewal Record Now” or “Schedule a Renewal Notification”.
Pressing “Schedule a Renewal Notification” will schedule a reminder notification to create a renewal record at a later date. To renew the record now, press “Create Renewal Record Now” and the green “Update” button.
Once “Update” is pressed, a modal will appear. Add a request status and meeting date for the renewal record and press the green “Next” button.
GivingData will then show a modal of the information from the original request record that will be imported to the new renewal record.
Pressing “Save” will generate a new renewal request record from the original request record.
You can see the Renewal History and chain of renewed grants by pressing “View Renewal History” under the Renewed Request field on the Overview tab.
This modal will show you the number of renewal records associated with this specific request, as well as the timespan of support and the total amount of funds given to the project/request.
