Frequently Asked Questions
I have ideas for new homepage widgets that would be useful to me and my team. How can I share this feedback with GivingData for consideration?
We'd love to hear your feedback and user stories so that we can continue to improve the GivingData homepage. Please use this feedback form to tell us more.
If a user does not have a default dashboard, what will appear on their homepage?
If a user has not selected a default Payments & Approvals dashboard, the following message will appear in the My Default Dashboard widget. Learn how to select a default dashboard.
Which Permission Setting controls the ability to manage the homepage settings?
Users must belong to a user role that has permission to ‘Manage Home Page Settings’. This permission setting can be found within Admin Tools & Settings Permissions > System & Setup when editing a user role.
Once site administrators have access to this permission, they can then grant permission to more user roles within the site. If you are a site administrator that does not have access to this permission, please contact your GivingData Client Success Manager.
For the ‘Assigned To Me’ widget, what is meant by the Overdue Timespan and the Upcoming Timespan?
When configuring the ‘Assigned To Me’ widget, there are two required fields - Overdue Timespan and Upcoming Timespan. By default, these fields are configured for 30 days but can be modified by a site administrator.
When the Overdue Timespan is set to 30 days, this means that tasks and requirements assigned to the user that are over 30 days overdue will not display on the homepage.
When the Upcoming Timespan is set to 30 days, this means that upcoming tasks and requirements assigned to the user that are more than 30 days away will not display on the homepage.
