Bank Account Verification

Learn how to verify bank account information in GivingData. This feature is available at Pro and Enterprise license levels.

Getting Started

To verify bank accounts in GivingData, users must first have the Verify Organization Bank Account Information permission enabled. A user must also have the View Organization Bank Account Information permission to view the “Bank Account” tab in Organization records.

Verifying Bank Account Information

  1. In an Organization record, click on the Bank Accounts tab.image (6)
  2. Click “Manage” next to the bank account you’d like to verify.image (7)
  3. Click on the “Verified” field in the Bank Account Details window.image (8)
  4. Provide the necessary information for changing the verification status of the bank account (Verification Notes are optional). Click “Update” once complete.image (9)
  5. Once complete, the “Verified” field will be populated with the verification information provided.

Additionally, users can require bank account information verification before it can be used for payments. In Admin Settings, navigate to Payments under Grantmaking to access the following:

If set to Yes, a bank account must first be verified before it can be used to set a payment as Paid. If set to No, unverified bank accounts can be used for any payment.
